NPC Generator
A whole person in one press: a name worth saying aloud, a job, a habit, something they want, something pressing on them, and one thing they are not telling you.

At the table
Three minutes of prep, one memorable person.
Forge once, read it aloud to yourself, and keep only the parts that made you sit up. Lock those and press again. Two or three passes and you have somebody specific enough to improvise with for a whole evening.
Start with the want
Everything else is decoration. If you know what an NPC is trying to get out of this conversation you can play them without notes, and the pressure then tells you exactly what they do when the party gets in the way of it.
Hold the secret back
A secret revealed at the first meeting is only a fact. Let it surface when a player has earned it, or when the NPC is frightened enough to spend it as currency.
One voice cue is enough
You do not need an accent. Take the single cue the generator hands you, use it for the first two lines of dialogue, and your players will fill in the rest themselves.
About the tables
Every entry is original and written to stay system-friendly, so nothing needs converting. There are no statistics here: assign those the way your own game does. The generator runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you forge is stored or sent anywhere.
