Encounter Generator
A scene with a shape: what the party walks into, what winning looks like, the thing that makes it awkward, and a way through that never needed a sword.

At the table
Every encounter needs a reason to end.
Read the situation and the objective together before anything else. Those two lines are the encounter. Everything under them is material to reach for when the scene needs another turn of the screw.
Hold the complication for the second beat
Open with the situation as written and let the players commit to a plan. The complication lands hardest once they have decided what they are doing, because that is the moment it costs them something.
The escalation is your timer
If the table stalls, or the scene has made its point and is still going, spend the escalation. It gives you somewhere to move without inventing anything on the spot.
Make the non-combat approach genuinely work
It is only a real choice if it succeeds. When a player finds that route, let it pay off on its own terms rather than routing them back into the fight.
Let the consequence be true
Walking away should mean something. Note the consequence line somewhere you will see it again, and let it turn up three sessions later.
About the tables
Every entry is original and written to stay system-friendly, so nothing needs converting. There are no statistics here: assign those the way your own game does. The generator runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you forge is stored or sent anywhere.
